The Discovery+ app is now available on LG Smart TVs in the U.S., including OLED and QNED mini-LED TVs, LG USA announced Wednesday.
The Discovery+ is a subscription video on demand (SVOD) service bringing a range of informational and reality TV series covering, true crime stories, home/lifestyle, love/relantionship, cooking, paranormal/unexplained and adventure content.
In addition the channel will bring the premiere of the new “Introducing, Selma Blair” program, and Discovery+ will also present streaming Halloween-oriented programming through the month of October, nicknamed “Ghostober” by the service.
The Discovery+ app is available to install through the LG webOS smart TV platform, in all of the company’s 2018-2021 Smart TV models, LG told us.
When available, LG said the Discovery+ app will be found in the webOS app library, or by speaking “Discovery Plus” directly into the voice input on LG Magic Remotes in supported TV series models.

Discovery+ offers 60,000 episodes of current and classic shows from Discovery’s portfolio of networks, including HGTV, Food Network, TLC, ID, OWN, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and Magnolia Network, and more than 200 Discovery+ original titles and exclusive content. Additionally, the service offers top non-fiction content from A&E, The History Channel, Lifetime, the BBC.
