Denon introduced Tuesday its first-ever lineup of true wireless in-ear headphones.

The Denon Noise Cancelling Earbuds ($159 suggested retail AH-C830NCW) and Denon Wireless Earbuds ($99 suggested retail AH-C630W) are said to have been engineered for the highest quality sound, comfort and voice call performance on the go.

Both models will be available in black or white, with the Noise Cancelling models offering a glossy finish with silver accents, while the Wireless Earbuds have a matte finish.

The both models are compatible with any Bluetooth-capable playback device, and offer large-diameter dynamic drivers that have been tested and tuned by Denon Sound Masters for lifelike sound. The next-generation Denon Active Noise Cancelling AH-C830NCW Earbuds include enhanced noise cancellation technology to mute external sounds that might distract from the high level of detail, dimensionality and dynamics never they deliver.

“For years, we have been eager to bring Denon’s premium Hi-Fi sound to compact, affordable wireless earbuds, and now is the perfect time, as more people demand better sound at home and on the go,” stated Trip Randall, president of Denon. “Nowhere else can you find best-in-class sound quality coupled with a light and ergonomic design, sweat and water resistance, and long battery life. With exceptional audio quality, these true wireless earbuds stand apart from anything else on the market.”

The new active noise cancelling system is said to leverage dual microphones — one in each earbud — and advanced processing to reduce ambient noise.

With Transparency Mode, the noise-canceling and ambient sound mix functions can be switched quickly with a simple touch sensor, while a wear detection function detects wearing and removing movements and automatically plays and pauses music, the company said.

Denon true wireless earbuds were developed using extensive ear canal simulations that allowed the engineers to sculpt the best shape for all users. Each earbud comes with easily fitted silicone tips in three sizes for maximum comfort.

Both models are IPX4 rated for durability, for use in the rain or during heavy workouts. Additionally, the Denon Noise Cancelling Earbuds feature Google Fast Pair for easy device pairing.

Both earbuds offer long playback times for up to 6 hours of wireless Bluetooth music on a single charge and up to 24 hours total, with additional charging cycles from the included charging case (Denon Noise Cancelling Earbuds), or up to 4.5 hours of wireless Bluetooth music on a single charge and up to 18 hours total, with additional charging cycles from the included charging case (Denon Wireless Earbuds).

A USB-C cable included with the earbuds enables users to recharge the charging case (lithium-ion battery) from any USB charger or computer USB port.

For voice calls with connected mobile phones, the earbuds can capture and transmit the user’s voice with clarity superior to many competitive offerings. The Denon Noise Cancelling Earbuds feature a beamforming function leveraging two microphones that work in conjunction with advanced digital signal processing.

A third microphone takes advantage of the ear canal’s natural shielding against wind and ambient noise to bring additional voice clarity. The Denon Wireless Earbuds use a sophisticated microphone for voice calls, providing clear, wireless communication and works seamlessly with any Bluetooth-capable playback device.
