Definitive Technology will be demonstrating at next month’s CEDIA Expo the return of its Mythos series LCR on-wall home theater passive sound bars in three new models.
Designed to match the sleek proportions of today’s premium 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch TVs, the Mythos Series uses a seamless, minimalist design to fit in most home decor aesthetics.
The new models will be featured at the Masimo brands booth (No. 3012) at the custom electronics show.
The products’ ultra-slim design uses the company’s Extra Thin Dynamic Dome (XTDD) drivers that enable a profile measuring under 2 inches while producing the power, clarity, dynamic range, and extended response of full-size systems, the company said.

Symmetrically adjustable extensions allow a seamless appearance under flat-screen TVs. The Mythos soundbars are also IP66-weather-resistant rated for placements in outdoor theaters set-ups.
Additionally, the company said The Mythos Series is timbre-matched with the Dymension Series tower and center-channel speakers, as well as a “forthcoming Dymension CI Series slated for a Q1 2024 launch.”
This is said to provide integrators with the customization required for accurate mixing and matching of speakers based on specific project requirements. The Mythos Series’ design is said to additionally serve well in light commercial installation applications.
