Is this list for real? Most of the brands on it are second or third rate. The only good brand is Samsung. As far as I’m concerned, this “sale” is a non-event that’s not even worth pursuing. I’m sure you can do much better elsewhere.
We didn’t make the list we only report it. We do expect a number of Samsung HDTVs to go on sale this Sunday as that is when our sources predict a drop in the Unilateral Pricing Program takes affect. We also expect a few other name brand models to drop. We’ll report it when it occurs.

As per the best brand for electronics products is concerned,Samsung is one of the best electronic brands.
They are famous for their newly launched smart window, the new smart window is the one of the best smart window in the market. Samsung’s official partner TapTL sells it online to their customers.
let me clarify my previous post. we could do better on pricing on *non UPP products, such as panasonic, sharp, etc. worded it wrong.
p.s. to c x fornier.
i’m a sales manager at a tv store in washington. We had the tcp60st50 at 1499.99 for two weeks during summertime. I haven’t seen it drop back down since then. We’ve had it tagged at 1599.99 for quite a while now, but when customers ask for a deal (U.P.P. permitted), we usually do better for them. So wherever you’re at, hopefully there’s a store that can give you a better deal that what’s asked on tag.
Just buy from a place that haggles. There won’t be super killer deals on higher models on black friday. If a place is willing to work you a deal, most likely it’ll be better than any price on black friday. You’ll see “great deals” on entry level sets but if you’re looking for an st50 on the best deal, i wouldn’t bet on it to b on that day
David, good point, but those TV’s are not for me…I have my sights on a Panasonic ST50 60 inch or a Samsung 6500 Plasma (60 inch)…Any idea how low can they go before I commit? I’ve also readied a SquareTradeWarranty (3 -4 years) to complement either. Right now, the going price is 1600 (lowest) for each (at Amazon). Any idea how low can they go…and approximately when? My price range is 1100-1500. I’ll go for the going price if that’s as low as they can go. Shall I wait?
CX, I believe that many reviews are not available for many TV’s simply because many reviewers would rather test well named brands. I do not believe that this in any way discounts the value or performance of some of these brands. As mentioned, many brands use the same panels and electronics. Therefore, it would be a disservice to consumers to not let consumers properly evaluate these deals based on their needs and price needs. The opinion of all of them being junk is not justified simply because of the name of the brand on the TV.
David, you are absolutely correct in your assessment, but that’s neither here nor there. The point is, everyday people like me want a TV according to how we’ve researched them–performance/value–We have no time to assess/test/return the above-mentioned TV’s..aside from the fact that there are few resources on how they’ve performed. I am saying your argument is moot. Let us have a real Black Friday deal on the better known and reviewed TV’s.
Here is a bit of fact. Many TV’s use the same panel sources (LG, AUO, CMI, Samsung) as well as platform sources (Mstar, Renessas, Marvell, etc). Therefore, while the brand may be Sony, Samsung, Coby, Vizio, etc, these same brands are most likely using many of the same sources for key components. Not unlike name brand clothing, you are paying higher prices for name brands to pay and cover costs of advertising. In the TV world, digital technology and panel technology are offered by few vendors and therefore, many of the same components are used regardless of the brand on the TV.
You got to be kidding me,please dont make me use profanity.
This list is a joke
All disposables.
Is this a joke? No well-known name brand TV’s? I was expecting more on the line of Panasonic, Samsung, Toshiba…even Vizio? What’s the DEAL (pun intended.)?
