Primeday

Amazon will kick off its much-hyped Prime Day event for members of its Prime subscriber program starting at 3 a.m. EST/midnight PT tonight — July 15th — including a number of TV specials.

The event, which promises to rival promotions offered on Black Friday, will include “thousands of deals” including “lightning deals” on a number of television specials offered as often as every 10 minutes.

The e-commerce giant teased the event Tuesday by pre-announcing a list of specials to be offered, and televisions and other electronics products were among some of the top listings.

Amazon said special offers will include the following: a 32-inch LED TV for $75; a 40-inch 1080p LED TV for $115; a “brand-name 32-inch Smart HDTV for under $200,” and a “50-inch 4K TV bundle, listed at under $1,000.”
