Guru,
Since HDMI delivers video, we'll need someone to properly review the performance of the new generation of receivers with video switching, particularly ones with HDMI 1.3.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, and I'm also looking forward to your review of the Panasonic PZ700 and a performance comparison to the PZ750.

Thanks!

Guru,

I hope you don't mind, but here is link of my home theater.
First generation Sharp Aquos 65 inch LCD. Just an average studio shot but you and your viewers might be familiar with this scene. I have seen better images when viewing quality movies, but I think this image demonstrates the deep blacks produced by this set. They are as dark as the black surround of the viewing screen.

Shot with point and shoot camera which produced low light grain in the image.

I shot this in spring afternoon, southern exposure behind camera lens, blinds closed,12feet from television screen. You can see the blinds reflection in the monitor below, but the Sharp has a non-reflective black screen which is very effective in dealing with tough lighting conditions.

I think this speaks to your new article.Thank you

Very interesting and informative article. I think the author hit the nail on the head here. The best display for you is the one that performs the best in your lighting enviroment. Some people may not be able to control the light and reflections all the time. :-)
