Where do you get that $1599.97 price? CC’s website has it listed for $1899.97.

Gary:

When you list a web address for more information, eg, “hottest deals … on recommended HDTVs” it would be very helpful if you could click on that address or there was a link. I’ve found my browser (IE 7) won’t even let me copy the text of the web address.

This makes navigating around your site a bit difficult.

Thanks.

Bob

Done! An excellent suggestion. Thanks.

The 1599.97 price is from the flyer (not CC weekly flyer)the Sony rep gave me on Sunday so you won’t see it on CC’s website.

Hi HD GURU,

I am just looking strictly for your opinion. It might be off topic, but I’ll throw it at you anyway. The Samsung 650 series in 52″: Do you think it’s better to buy now, on boxing day in BB, or wait after new years? I know prices do fluctuate and may vary, but when do you think it’s the best time for a lowest price?

I just heard about how prices of those “already-on-sale” Samsung’s will remain roughly around the same price range. Just to throw it out, there was a $400 off of a particular Samsung LCD (don’t remember the specific model) in a sale for BB Canada. But now the sale is over and the prices are back to retail.

Any help would be great!

Thanks!

i am trying to compare these: Panasonic 50″ VIERA Plasma HDTV vs Samsung 46″ Series 6 LCD HDTV. Other than the screen size, can some tell me which one they would recommend?

Mel, I Like the Viera TH-50pz800u. For the dollar it’s better than the series 6 ToC from samsung ONLY because it has the legit THX mode. Thats the biggest and best difference between the two. A few other differences…The plasma will always have deeper blacks which will make the picture “pop” more. Although the plasma is more of an energy hog, this may not be a big deal to you but it needs to be considered.

Came across this interactive engine at TweakTV. Pretty cool feature lets me purchase a TV off of calibration settings that are already in the TweakTV database. I found a good price, but need to do more shopping. http://www.tweaktv.com/comparisonTool.php
