i just purchased the tc-p42s1 and there is no buzzing what so ever, no fan noise at all. had an lcd and the picture wouldnt even compare to this tv. child please

FYI – I just picked up a Panasonic TC-P42S1 and it has a loud Buzz/Fan noise. If you are used to the silence of LCD displays, be aware that this plasma (and many others) can have a strong buzzing noise and fan noise. I am returning mine and looking at LCDs despite the great price I was able to get the TC-P42S1 for. :(

One of needs to do our homework better: MPP3 isn’t available on the S1.

And Isn’t the whole “motion flow” approach just using backlight flashing to produce “120Hz-like” effects rather than “true” 120Hz rates?

Obviously a typo at the bottom, as the top of the page lists Motion Focus Technology. Here is a link to the complete brochure.

Um, the 37″ Panasonic S1s definitely do not have 120Hz as stated in the description above. How many other factual errors are there on this list? Not very “guru”…

What are some good TV’s for gaming? I love my 360 and am an avid gamer, so even the most otherwise amazing TV would be a waste in my home if it doesn’t work well for gaming.
