It's clear plasma won't be around forever, but LCD manufacturers will be dropping out of the market this year too. The article doesn't jive with facts either, display search's numbers show that plasma was the only display technology in 2008 to show an INCREASE in sales y/y, largely due to the price advantage. If you look at the price Panasonic currently have a 50" plasma for (new model) it's clear that plasma will continue to win the pricing battle. Nothing new there – just another story with no actual names listed.
