Best Buy has a two price policy on a number of HDTVs on sale in this week’s (Oct.2) circular. A higher price for shoppers that rely on the sale flyer, and a lower price for consumers that log into their bestbuy.com account, choose the TV they’re interested in, place it into the shopping cart, then proceed to check-out. Doing so reveals a price difference of up to a whopping $261 below the flyer price on 7 of 19 advertised HDTVs. That’s 37% of the sets that are supposed to be “on sale”.
If you want to buy one of these sets and get the lower price, you must either order online (for delivery or store pickup) or go to the store and ask the service desk for a price match of Best Buy’s circular sale price. According to Best Buy’s Price Match Guarantee printed on the back inside cover of this week’s flyer, they will match the Best Buy lower online price for the same model.
Below we list the 7 sets with the Best Buy circular price (BB) the Best Buy on-line price (BBO) and the Amazon price.
We continue to recommend and affiliate (we may earn a small commission on referred sales) with Amazon because they have some of the best HDTV policies in the industry including a low price guarantee (they match Best Buy’s online price if lower) and free return freight. All listed models have free shipping by Amazon direct. Note: prices are correct as of posting and may change at any time. Please verify with our links; Most states do not collect sales tax on Amazon orders [with the exceptions of CO, KS, KY, NY, ND & WA]. You always pay sales tax when buying at any brick and mortar store if you don’t live in AK, MD, MT, NH or OR.
