I was really interested in the LG BH100 when I saw it and bought it.
I was very dissapointed when I hooked it to my new Sony SXRD 60" 1080p TV and the player just said "Please wait" never worked at all. I called LG support and they told me they do not support the new sony SXRD series TV's.

I returned it the same day! How can they not support sony TV's??

I don't know, to me it sounds like it was defective or damaged. I will be testing one soon (waiting for my sample to arrive.)

Yeah FiguredMaple, makes you wonder just how much it actually COSTS for LG to make that 71" panel, now doesn't it?!
If I had to guess, it would probably be around $7000 give or take. So that original price netted LG a whopping 10x profit. You know that they are still making a profit on the set at $14.9K- it's all part of their policy on making goals for the lifecycle of a given product to cover R&D, support and marketing.

"The big news is the price drop on LG’s 71” 1080p monitor, from $70,000 last week, down to $14,999 today."

Talk about a drop! Kinda reminds me of the tech stock boom.

Thanks Guru!
